Why I Created This Toolkit
As a governance manager, I was always trying to walk a tightrope.
On one side, I needed a process my team could actually follow – something light, clear and adaptable that worked for small and medium projects as well as larger ones. On the other side, the organisation needed control: proper evaluation, sensible approvals, and enough documentation to keep risk, scope and costs under control.
The big frameworks like PRINCE2 and PMBOK are valuable, but trying to apply them in full can bury teams in forms and stage gates. Most people simply will not use a process that feels like that.
This toolkit is my answer to that problem
- A straightforward demand management and project lifecycle, so everyone understands the steps.
- Enough structure and documentation to give you governance “rails”,
- Without the red tape that kills momentum.
It is the toolkit I wish I’d had when I first tried to bring order to a portfolio of messy, part-time projects.

Used by SMEs preparing for ISO 27001 certification in under 90 days.
Who it’s for
This is for you if;
- You manage projects alongside your day job and want a clear, simple framework.
- You are an IT or operations manager who needs to bring consistency to how work is run.
- You support a small PMO or governance function and want something lighter than full PRINCE2 or PMBOK.
- You are a consultant or team lead who wants a ready-made set of documents to roll out to clients or colleagues.
You do not need to be a certified project manager to use this. The language is plain, and each document explains its own purpose.
I
What you’ll be able to do with it.
With the Project Management Toolkit you can:
- Choose the right projects to start – using simple, structured demand management and prioritisation templates.
- Start projects on a solid footing – with clear charters, scope, roles and stakeholder communications.
- Plan realistically – breaking work into manageable tasks, estimating effort, planning resources and understanding risk.
- Run delivery without chaos – using RAID logs, status reports, issue and change management tools that keep everyone aligned.
- Monitor and control progress – so you can act on problems early, not after the damage is done.
- Close projects properly – with benefits reviews, lessons learned and closure reports that improve the next project.
What’s Inside the Toolkit
A full process, step-by-step from idea evaluation to project closure. The project guides are ready to be edited and distributed to the team. These aren’t static PDFs, but documents you can tailor to your business and it’s needs.
Project Process Overview (PPTX) – a high-level view of the overall process your team can follow.
Demand Management Process (PPTX) – how ideas come in, are evaluated and are approved or rejected.
Phase Guides (PPTX) – short guides for each phase: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closure. These give step-by-step instructions and point you to the right templates at each stage.n content

How you use the toolkit
- Download instantly after purchase.
- Open the documents in Word, Excel or PowerPoint and add your logo and house style.
- Start with the Project Process Overview and phase guides, then introduce the templates gradually – you can roll them out to an entire team or just use them for your own projects.
- For small, low-risk pieces of work, you might only use a charter, simple plan, RAID log and closure report. For larger projects, add more of the planning and control documents.
The toolkit is designed so you can scale governance up or down, depending on the size and risk of each project.
You are purchasing a licence to use these documents within your own organisation (or for your own client work, if that’s how you operate). You can customise them, but you cannot resell them as your own toolkit.
“Toolkit goes beyond what I expected and includes process guidance. Found the project selection process useful.”

Do I need to be a qualified project manager to use this?
No. The toolkit is designed for people who run projects in the real world, whether or not they have formal PM qualifications. The guides explain what each document is for and when to use it.
Is this PRINCE2 or PMBOK compliant?
The toolkit is not an implementation of PRINCE2 or PMBOK. It takes the useful common project ideas – clear stages, governance and documentation – and trims them down into something lighter that most teams will actually use.
If you know PRINCE2/PMBOK, you will recognise concepts, but you are not forced to adopt every element.
What software do I need?
All documents are provided in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats. They also open in most compatible office suites, but the layout is designed with Microsoft Office in mind.
Can I customise the templates?
Yes. They are meant to be customised. Add your branding, tweak the sections and adapt the language to your organisation.
Can I use this with multiple teams?
Yes, within your organisation. You can roll the toolkit out to multiple teams as your standard way of running projects. If you want to use it commercially with multiple external clients, please contact me to discuss licensing.
What is your refund policy?
I’m afraid I can’t provide refunds because once you have the files, you can’t send them back – however, I do provide examples of the templates above, which demonstrate their quality and effectiveness.
Ready to stop reinventing the wheel?
Instead of starting every project in a blank document or stitching together templates from the internet, give yourself and your team a straightforward, proven way to run work from idea to closure.
