ISO 9001 coaching and internal audits for small businesses
Build a quality management system that passes UKAS certification, without the consultancy bloat.
Fixed fees. No day rates. No 200-page quality manuals. Just the system your business actually needs, built or audited by qualified practitioners who do this every week.
Book a free discovery call →Most small businesses come to ISO 9001 for one reason: a customer or tender demands it. What they find is an industry that wants to sell them day-rate consultancy, bloated documentation and a system designed for a company ten times their size.
We take a different view. We call it Minimal Viable Compliance: the leanest system that genuinely satisfies the standard, passes a UKAS-accredited certification audit, and is light enough that you will actually keep it running afterwards.

For certified or certifying businesses
ISO 9001 internal audit
£1,950
fixed fee
Every certified company needs an independent internal audit before certification and every year after. Ours answers one question: are you ready for your certification or surveillance audit?
What’s included
- A two-hour session auditing your management system clauses: context, leadership, planning, support, performance evaluation and improvement
- Two to three two-hour deep-dive sessions auditing your key processes, scoped to what your business actually does (for example, order-to-delivery, design, purchasing, service delivery)
- A full review of your key documents and records
- A written findings report and nonconformity log, in the format your certification auditor will expect
- A close-out meeting to walk through the findings and agree what to fix first
All delivered remotely. Most audits complete within two to three weeks of booking.

You know the cost before we start. No day rates, no scope creep.
Practitioners, not salespeople
It’s just us. The people you talk to are the people doing the work.
Minimal Viable Compliance
We build and audit lean systems. If a document doesn’t earn its keep, it goes.
Genuinely independent
Your certification auditor will ask about internal audit independence; you’ll have a good answer.
Both standards, one roof
ISO 27001 and ISO 9001, coached or audited, separately or together.
Frequently asked questions
We’re a very small company. Can we even get ISO 9001 certified?
Yes. There is no minimum size; sole traders and one-person companies certify regularly. The standard scales to your organisation, and so does our approach.
Do you audit on-site?
Our standard audits are remote, which keeps the fixed fee low and works well for the vast majority of SMEs. If your processes genuinely require on-site observation, ask us on the discovery call. We are based in Berkshire with good access to Surrey, Hampshire and London.
We already have a consultant-built system nobody uses. Can you help?
This is a common situation that we see. Usually the answer is to strip it back rather than add to it. The coaching programme handles both rescues and new builds.
How quickly can you audit us?
Typically, we can start within days, with the report delivered two to three weeks later. If you have a certification or surveillance audit booked, tell us the date, and we’ll work back from it.
What’s the difference between your internal audit and the certification audit?
The certification (or surveillance) audit is done by your UKAS-accredited certification body and results in your certificate. The internal audit is a requirement of the standard itself, and it’s your dress rehearsal: same rigour, but findings you can fix quietly before they become nonconformities on the record.
Do you offer a cheaper, lighter audit?
No. A partial audit gives you a partial answer, and “partially ready for certification” isn’t useful to anyone. One audit, one fixed fee, one clear verdict.
